Jennifer Turner, Ph.D., Registered Psychologist

 

Dr. Jennifer Turner and her practice are characterized by extensive experience and exceptional warmth. In addition to her work as a registered psychologist, she currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Wellbeing in Education at the University of Calgary’s Werklund School of Education.

 

Dr. Turner has nearly 30 years in the K-12 school system. She has worked as a classroom teacher, inclusive education teacher, registered psychologist, school-based principal, Superintendent of Schools and district-based K-12 senior leader. Dr. Turner holds expertise in diverse learners’ needs, school-based child and youth mental health promotion and intervention, and system leadership.

 

At CRUX, Dr. Turner treats and assesses a wide variety of problems. She specializes in academic and behavioural issues, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and executive functioning. She also offers psychoeducational assessments. Dr. Turner provides therapy for adults (18 years of age or older) and assessments for children (6 to 11 years of age), adolescents (12 to 18 years of age) and adults (18 years of age or older).

 

Dr. Turner is a proud grandmother of two boys, a mother of three and wife of a school principal.

 

Dr. Turner is a licensed psychologist registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists and the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
