Registered Psychologist

Tzipi Buchman-Wildbaum, Ph.D., Registered Psychologist

Dr. Tzipi Buchman‑Wildbaum is a registered psychologist with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and addiction and a master’s degree in clinical and health psychology. Her training across clinical, health and cross‑cultural settings shapes her holistic approach to care, recognizing the deep connection between mind and body and the many ways psychological and physical health influence one another.

Dr. Buchman‑Wildbaum works with adults and adolescents (14 years of age or older) experiencing trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, grief, mood disorders, personality‑related concerns and schizophrenia‑spectrum conditions. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals coping with chronic illness, as well as family members who may be navigating burnout, emotional strain or the complex feelings that arise when caring for loved ones with psychological or physical health challenges. In addition, she has supported many students as they navigate academic pressures, low self‑esteem, social anxiety, culture shock and other stressors that can emerge during major life transitions.

Her therapeutic style is grounded in creating a safe, non‑judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected and empowered. Dr. Buchman‑Wildbaum helps people reconnect with their strengths, build a sense of control and move toward meaningful change. She is deeply committed to reducing mental‑health stigma and believes that challenges, when met with compassion and support, can become powerful opportunities for growth. Her work is informed by psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and cognitive processing therapy, allowing her to tailor treatment to each person’s needs and goals.

Having worked in several countries and cultures, Dr. Buchman‑Wildbaum brings a culturally attuned lens to therapy and is attentive to the unique personal, social and cultural contexts that shape each client’s experience. She is dedicated to helping individuals move toward lives that feel fuller, more grounded and more aligned with their values.

At CRUX, Dr. Buchman‑Wildbaum provides individual therapy services in English and Hebrew online through easy-to-use technologies like Zoom. She works with adolescents (14 to 18 years of age) and adults (19 years of age or older). Dr. Buchman‑Wildbaum is a licensed psychologist registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Psychologists who are fully registered in other Canadian jurisdictions (such as Alberta) can provide online services to residents of other provinces.
