Isoken Ogumbor

Registered Psychologist

Isoken Ogumbor, M.C., Registered Psychologist

Ms. Isoken (Iso) Ogumbor is a registered psychologist who brings a warm, trauma‑informed and culturally attuned approach to her work with individuals, families, and communities. As a BIPOC and neurodivergent clinician, she is deeply committed to helping people move from feeling as though life is happening to them toward a place where they feel able to choose how they live, connect and grow.

Iso’s practice is grounded in the belief that humans are wired for connection and that safe, supportive relationships are essential for healing and change. She works collaboratively with clients to understand how their experiences, relationships, environments, and learned coping patterns shape the challenges they face today. Her therapeutic style is warm, authentic, and active. She integrates humour, clear communication, and evidence‑based strategies while creating space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions and histories at a pace that feels safe.

She has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship concerns, identity‑related stress, grief, emotional regulation challenges and the impacts of systemic and interpersonal harm. Her background includes work across non‑profit organizations, school‑based services and community mental health settings, where she has provided assessment, diagnosis, treatment and psychoeducation for individuals, groups and families.

Iso draws from a range of evidence‑based approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy, emotion‑focused therapy, trauma‑focused cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, motivational interviewing, strengths‑based and solution‑focused approaches and somatic and expressive trauma‑informed interventions. She is currently completing certification as an ADHD‑Certified Clinical Services Provider.

Across all her work, Iso strives to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, respected and supported in reconnecting with their resilience. She helps people identify unmet needs, build new skills and move from surviving to genuinely thriving—guided by the understanding that when people are shown better, they can do better.
