
Jasmine Peterson, M.A., Registered Psychologist
Ms. Jasmine Peterson, a warm and open psychologist, has provided psychological services for over ten years. She holds a B.A. with honours in psychology from New Brunswick’s St. Thomas University and an M.A. in clinical psychology from Ontario’s Lakehead University. When she is not passionately advocating for mental health, Ms. Peterson enjoys spending time with her five children. She is a dance mom, so spends any extra time at the dance studio or traveling to competitions.
Ms. Peterson assesses and treats numerous mental health problems. She offers assessment for diagnosis of addictions, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, learning difficulties, intellectual disabilities, and developmental disorders. She also offers neuropsychological assessments.
Ms. Peterson is passionate about providing accessible, effective, and culturally relevant assessment and therapy. As an Indigenous psychologist, she is particularly passionate about making quality psychological services accessible to Indigenous populations. She has traveled throughout Northwestern Ontario, including visiting remote, fly-in communities, to provide assessment and therapy.
At CRUX, Ms. Peterson provides individual therapy and assessment services online through easy-to-use technologies like Zoom. She works with children (8 to 10 years of age), adolescents (11 to 18 years of age) and adults (19 to 65 years of age). Ms. Peterson is a licensed psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario and the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick. Psychologists who are fully registered in other Canadian jurisdictions (such as Ontario) can provide online services to residents of other provinces. Ms. Peterson works with clients from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario.
